Commonwealth Parliamentary Representatives after the visit in Jaffna


d237c495f0944524623f0092d9ac0367_XL-300x201Representatives of the 58th Commonwealth Parliamentary Council participated in a visit to witness the development project implemented by the Government and the peace environment in the North. The group of representatives visited the Jaffna library, proposed cultural center, Jaffna Fort, Nallur Kovil and the housing complex constructed under the Indian Aid.Furthermore they have visited the Kilinochchi hospital, Anandapuram Electricity Distribution Centre and the Paranthan Seed Farm. Mrs. Patricia Mahilo, a parliamentarian from South Africa said that according to what they have heard and witnessed, the people in the North could not find their lives difficult. She further emphasized that Sri Lanka is a pleasant country and no one should spread rumors about Sri Lanka.
